Since then Paramount Services grown into a nationwide cleaning services provider with 200 employees and more than 130 franchise business owners with a further 600 staff serving more than 1000 companies throughout New Zealand.
Paramount Services' history is characterised by a dogged determination to succeed by addressing the issues and concerns associated with the commercial cleaning industry.
The company was founded on the belief that the relationship between the client and service provider should be one of open communication, mutually benefiting both organisations.
The business operated as a sole trader until August 1983 when it was incorporated.
Milestones
- In November 2009 Paramount again won Business Services Franchise System of the Year award at the Westpac New Zealand Franchise Awards.
- In 2009 Paramount became ISO 14001:2004 accredited, an industry standard for environmental management systems.
- In November 2008 Paramount services won the Westpac New Zealand Supreme Franchisor of the Year Award and our Hamilton franchisee, the Dalton Family Trust, won the 2008 BDO Spicers Franchisee of the Year for business services.
- In January 2008 Paramount Services purchased Christchurch company Nu Look Cleaning Concepts to add South Island strength to its national cleaning franchise network.
- In January 2008 Paramount Services entered into a partnership with industrial abseiling company Height Access Technology to supply window cleaning access.
- In November 2007 Paramount Services franchisee Jenny Chen was awarded as the 2007 BDO Spicers Franchisee of the Year at the Westpac New Zealand Franchise Awards.
- In September 2007 Paramount Services and Tauranga-based Cleanup Group merged to extend coverage for nation-wide clients.
- In February 2006 Paramount Services merged with Office & General to cement its place as one of the largest New Zealand-owned cleaning companies.
- In July 1996 the company set up its first franchise. The franchise started with a turnover of $50,000 per annum and quickly grew to close to $230,000 per annum.
- In 1993 Paramount Services became ISO 9001:2000 accredited.
